My Role:
As the first employee at Spark*l, I had the joy of seeing a business grow first hand and work closely with the CEOs and other managers. I stepped into many roles, including Marketing and Operations Director, Senior Graphic Designer, and Shopify Expert.

Spark*l is a female-founded lifestyle brand based in San Luis Obispo, California, known for its innovative smartwatch bands and handcrafted leather accessories made from upcycled designer goods. Shopify eCommerce Management
Description:
I managed and maintained Spark*l’s Shopify ecosystem to ensure smooth daily operations and to support the customer service, operation, and production teams. My work balanced both operational efficiency and creative presentation to keep the online store running seamlessly and aligned with brand strategy.

Products
Managed setup and maintenance of over 7000 items through Shopify and CSV files. Wrote product titles with correct syntax, scheduled products for specific drop times on different sales channels, wrote descriptions, and added proper tags and metafields for various apps and automations.
Orders
Ensured accurate fulfillment by troubleshooting any issues, creating workflows, and adding order views. Maintained automated order tagging using Shopify Flows to alert the production team of packaging preferences, shipping speed, and VIP orders.
Customers
Managed customer data and assisted customer service team with any issues. Created segments based on customer data, such as purchasing behaviors, for marketing purposes. Created automations to tag customer accounts with chosen packaging preference and earned VIP tiers and VIP points.
Apps
Integrated, tested, and maintained over 20 third-party apps that included uses for sale management, web design, production, marketing, and analytics. Ensured apps were integrated into the brand by training all company teams and sending marketing and information to customers.
Analytics
Created and maintained custom sales, product, and customer reports using a third-party Shopify analytics app. Analyzed performance data to identify trends, track bestsellers, and inform business decisions such as collection resorting and sales channel optimization.
Sales Channels
Ensured consistency across all sales channels, which includes website, mobile app, and social channels. Managed integration, seasonal/holiday sale setup, collection organization and resorting, and branding across all platforms.

Developed Spark*l’s visual identity, creating a cohesive brand system that balanced luxury and simplicity with a playful edge. This work included all types of branding design, along with guidelines to ensure consistency across internal teams, ambassadors, and third-party partners. Description:
Focused on elevating both customer-facing and internal brand touchpoints and ensured Spark*l’s products were consistently presented, easy to understand, and enjoyable to use. Speed Lister Google Sheets
Fully customized an automated Google Sheet that integrated directly with Shopify to build new products quickly and accurately. The tool generated titles, tags, metafields, descriptions, and more, ensuring efficiency and consistency in product creation.

A customer-facing portal that allowed shoppers to personalize their accessories with detailed options after purchase. While the system was integrated through a third-party, I handled the setup, maintenance, and refinement to ensure both customers and the production team had a seamless experience. Oversaw the full setup and maintenance of the app, including layout design, vendor communication, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting. I optimized the interface to present complex product options in a clear and approachable way, ensuring customers could fully customize their accessories without feeling overwhelmed.
Analytics
Tracked and analyzed customer usage of the Customization Experience to identify trends, popular options, and potential areas for improvement. Insights were used to refine product offerings and improve the overall customization workflow.
Customizer Products
Set up option-based “products” such as linings and embellishments, using images, metafields, and titles to make selections intuitive. This backend organization enabled smooth communication between customers’ choices and production requirements.
Products
Configured product listings with the correct metafields to link seamlessly with the customization system. This ensured accuracy in available options and prevented errors in the production process.

Spark*l Studios Mobile App
Description:
Home to Spark*l’s live selling shows, offering customers a more personal and interactive shopping experience. I supported both the backend and marketing side of the app, ensuring seamless integration with Shopify, managing sales and collections, and promoting app downloads to customers. From themed live shows like “Wheel of Discounts” to exclusive ambassador-hosted events, I helped create engaging experiences that drove sales and deepened customer connection.

Managed the full setup of Spark*l’s subscription portal, including branding of the portal, vendor communication, testing, bug fixes, and updates.

Description:
A fully customized loyalty system built to reward Spark*l’s most dedicated customers. I developed the program from the ground up, combining custom coding, Shopify Flows, and metafields to automate the tracking of points and rewards across products, orders, and customer accounts. Alongside the technical build, I designed branded marketing and website experiences that introduced the program, explained its benefits, and encouraged customer sign-ups.

Description:
An elevated, white-glove shopping experience, allowing customers to book one-on-one video appointments with a stylist and design custom products together. I supported the program by building automated systems to streamline booking and order management, as well as designing website pages and visuals to make the experience feel approachable, luxurious, and seamless.
